Terms

The terms, in plain language.

These cover the site, the audit services sold on it, and the PairDesk subscriptions. The written engagement terms that accompany larger projects are here; where the two differ, the engagement letter governs that engagement.

What a Check is

A Check is an independent technical review of the materials you provide: I test a backtest or dataset for the failure classes described on the site and deliver a written verdict, normally within 48 hours of receiving payment and a complete folder. If something is missing I ask once and the clock pauses until it arrives.

What it is not

Nothing on this site or in any deliverable is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or a promise that any strategy will make money. I audit artifacts and publish computed research; I do not originate strategies, manage money, or predict returns. Decisions you make with a verdict, a desk or anything else here are yours.

The guarantee

Check tier only. The intake asks what you already believe is wrong, in numbers. If the verdict does not go beyond what you wrote, the fee comes back. How "beyond" is judged is stated on the audit page, and that description governs. Fix and Deep are scoped in writing before any money moves and carry no guarantee, and the subscriptions are covered under PairDesk subscriptions below.

Your material and mine

Your strategy, data, and results remain yours; you confirm you have the right to share what you send. The verdict I write is licensed to you for any use. My published research, datasets, and site content remain mine, as do the desk, the brief and the register you are licensed to use; the free datasets carry their own licenses where stated.

Payment

For audit work, which includes verified-performance preparation: fixed prices as posted, payable in advance. The 48-hour clock starts when payment and a complete folder are both in, except where a service page states a longer delivery time, which then governs. Refunds happen under the guarantee above, or if I decline the work after seeing it, in which case you are refunded in full. Subscriptions are billed and credited as set out under PairDesk subscriptions below, and the guarantee does not apply to them.

PairDesk subscriptions

PairDesk is a register of statistically screened US equity pairs, delivered by email as a self-contained file with a one-page brief, at the cadence of the tier you bought. It reports computation: which pairs pass a stated test, their half-lives, hedge ratios, current readings, and the caveats measured against each. It does not forecast, rank the year ahead, or recommend a trade, and the page says so where it matters. The self-test that shows this is public.

An individual seat is one person, for personal use. A firm license covers up to five named people at one firm, use inside that firm's own business, and the register as a file for the firm's own systems, with questions about the data answered within one business day. Neither seat permits redistributing the desk, the brief, or the register outside the licensed people, reselling it, or publishing it. Custom desk builds are scoped in writing and quoted before anything is built; the written scope governs that work.

Billing is a monthly invoice, payable in advance, with no commitment beyond the month paid for; cancel by replying to any invoice and nothing further is charged. Founding prices stay locked for as long as the subscription runs without a break. A build that fails to arrive on its schedule is credited, and a build I withdraw for a data fault is reissued or credited. The underlying prices come from a public source with known survivorship gaps, quantified in the methodology; the desk is a screening tool, and the liability terms below apply to it.

Liability

A verdict is a professional opinion on the materials provided, at the time provided. My total liability for any engagement is capped at the fee you paid for it; for a subscription, at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. I am not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of any deliverable or site content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes belong to the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
